I've been an Apple user since 1986 and only had one piece of actual Apple hardware fail (original white iMac), and that was onboard graphics so it still might have been another vendor's product. It's solid stuff, and any other failures have been with "other" components such as third-party graphics cards, hard drives, etc.

That said, when Jobs died, Apple as a computer company began to die ... Jobs himself may have gone in the current direction, but the current ass hat doesn't come close with regard to the vision and brilliance of Steve Jobs. They're focused on iPhones and other "mobile" shat. Why? Because most people gobble it up and live "settle for" lives through a 3"x4" window and the audio it provides.

So, it's does cause the sphincter some duress when they abandon favorite software or ... should I now say ... "Apps" ... but it happens. I tried to install Mojave over Christmas because my initial research indicated it would run on my Mac Pro 5,1. Along the lines of other comments here though, I'm never first in line for an OS upgrade. Apparently, in the intervening time between release and my decision to install they added "hey, you probably need a graphics card at least this good to run Mojave". Didn't see that! The install failed and I had to back out to High Sierra. Thankfully, I didn't lose anything in the process. So, at some point I either buy a new Mac or a move on to Winblows ... which ain't happening unless there is no other option. What I'm reading is a new Mac Pro is in the works. We'll see.

This Waza thing looks pretty sexy. Waiting on any reports as well. Heck, I just bought my first flat screen TV a couple of years ago after waiting for the world to drive prices down to a reasonable "dollar per inch" level.

yeah their hardware quality has gone off fast since jobs too. I used Apple IIc at home and IIe at school as a kid, and have used macs as well extensively. I still use one for work, and it's a brand new one and it already has keyboard problems.

enough with the side thread :D

I play at television volume about half the time! The rest of the time I play almost loud enough to fuse hydrogen. Same pile of crap.

I am interested in the idea. I just wait until 10 people who really know have beaten the crap out of stuff and don't complain. I have half a house filled with rejected next big things.

I know at least 6 people who bought Ox.
I hear you. :D I was interested in the ox briefly but this does everything the OX does and a lot more. Also the OX-------------------the editing software is current Mas OS ONLY...WTF!!! so my ipad 2 I keep around for such things wont work, my old backup pro tools rig is still on mountain lion so no go and my main studio DAW is running windows 10 so UA can kiss my a**

I find that mind boggling. Apple has made it clear for over 5 years that they do NOT support professional audio/video/creators at all anymore. Why would UA hobble themselves like that?

OMG ITS 1993 AGAIN!!!!!!!????????

At the point where the next level of manager you want to talk to is Steve Jobs.. uhh My first Mac was a 512. I had a iiFX when ProTools was a plugin for Studio Vision. I spent over $250,000.00 staying compliant with their madness up to 2013.

Another lie told often left the illusion that Apple was EVER the right choice. More lost time due to hardware issues and failures and boot loops and incompati nincompoopi moronicus than I can shake a Pope at.

And now, they aren't even for the user. Only the forced labor still sees any light in that mine. Delusion.
