Oh dear. Is that the third one? Or the fourth, so here we go again.

Sad.

Sad day

Post by ampmike »

Very sad to see the bands that you grew up with are passing away.I can remember the week Hotel Ca got released,I was fourteen or so,the Eagles was my first real concert I ever went to in Long Island. They has about fifteen guitars on stage lined up on the stage. They were a incredibly talented bunch. The album with Take it easy and desperado I forget the name of it but I think every song on it got to number one.I had the old eight track cranking in my car as we all headed out for some adventure on the weekends in the seventies.Songs that take you back to your teen age days, the girl you were with and the parties we had.Glenn Fry was part of my youth sad to hear this today.

CNN had a 2 part History of The Eagles on tonight. Was rather sad watching it and listening to all of the songs that we grew up with in the 70s - it really felt like losing a friend. The absolute depth of hits was truly remarkable.

Been a long time since I sat down and just killed 3 hours watching something, highly recommended if you have a chance to see it.
