I bought this book at Powells for $20

I just rediscovered it the other day in my shelf.

Wow! I bought it when it came out, years ago, for $14. The information in it cannot be found anywhere else AFAIK.
I know it has gone up, as it's long been out of print, but $1,100 is just hilarious BS.

At that price, wait for the reprint!

Sometimes people put things on eBay for reasons other than to sell them. I'm not sure what those reasons are, nor can I suggest what they are. I believe that is the only explanation when something is priced like that. I honestly don't believe the seller expects someone will snap it up.

There is one listed on Amazon for $45. Either a mistake or a crack head

Ebay and CL work on "The Greater Fool" Theory. And remember, even if what I'm selling is mundane and regularly available, it's worth way above high retail because I owned it. It's therefore special. Bleah!

Yeah, I knew the $1,100 price was ludicrous.

It now goes for around $45.

I only see two books from Tom Mitchell, this one and "How to Service Your Own Tube Amp: A Complete Guide for the Curious Musician".

There is no Volume 2 of the Tube Design book.

Maybe ask the seller if the pages are gooped.
