I suppose he is what you would call a "gifted player."
He CAN play electric, though I have only seen it once, I believe, on Youtube.
Hard to remember exactly.....but I think he was on stage with Bill Kirchen, and both were playing a telecaster.

He is one of the few that Chet Atkins bestowed the CGP moniker on. His version of classical gas is amazing.

Tommy is a force and freak of nature. It's not just the immaculate, creative, difficult guitar playing. It's the drumming and percussion stuff. It's the endless energy and enthusiasm and pure joy of music that guy has been gifted with. There is no one better. And yes, look up him and his brother Phil on youtube...they have a psychic connection. Tommy makes me feel like a pretender.
