With the expansion of states allowing home growing, there are lots of T5 fixtures around for great prices.

A grow store just down the street from my house north of Denver has 2-bulb metal units that look just like this one for $20. You can get them with up to 8 bulbs, since the T5 bulb is skinny:

I have a crappy articulating arm light that I bought at a yard sale for $5. It makes noise, both in amp guts and in the room. It works fine. But, I'm just chiming in to make you all aware of a bench light you SHOULD NOT buy...

This past Christmas I bought a magnifying lamp for my Mom, she likes to do all that artsy craftsy stuff. I got her this one:

About a week after use, it caught fire. It didn't spread anywhere, and she was able to chuck it outside into a snow bank. Thankfully! I contacted the seller, they were more than helpful and they refunded the total price. So, this little PSA isn't to talk bad about the seller of this auction at all, if anything praise them a little. (It's not like they made the product.)

Just be aware of this unit, don't buy it.

I ended up throwing them away and am currently using a small fan, but I'd love to get a good exhaust with a flexible hose or something mounted on an arm.
Hey sorry I missed, this! This is the one I have. It's good, and the least expensive one I could find. I kinda wish is was more powerful since I wouldn't personally mind the extra noise. It's definitely better than the little charcoal filter fan I had, however I still keep that one on too by my soldering iron.

And thanks again everyone for all the great light recommendations!
