Joe Cocker dies
A great loss to anyone who enjoys good music, I got to appreciate him after spending 5 years as a guitarist in a Cocker tribute act, truly a talented individual who lost the fight against the big C. RIP Joe

Been a fan a long time, and still listen often.
Re: Joe Cocker dies
Wow. Didn't think that would ever happen.
I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com
Re: Joe Cocker dies
Oh no - bummer. I heard it here first. Had "You are so Beautiful" running through my head yesterday for no apparent reason.
Got to see him live, opening up for SRV, about a month before SRV died. He sang with a lot of heart and passion. RIP Joe.

Don't you boys know any NICE songs?

A lot of us will remember him for this:

Still sends shivers up my spine.
Us old rockers are losing our heroes, left, right and center. Jack Bruce, Jimmy Ruffin, Bobby Keys, and on and on. And now Joe.
Rock on, Joe. R.I.P.

Re: Joe Cocker dies
Always enjoyed Joe's music and showmanship.
Was lucky enough to see Joe with Tina Turner, what a great evening that was and my kids really enjoyed the show as well, they took me to the concert, they're treat.
Sad news.

RIP Joe.
My first exposure to Joe Cocker was on the 1969 Woodstock live album.

Re: Joe Cocker dies
Man.....I didn't know.....and then I see Bobby Keys (and Jim Price) in the Box Tops video as well.
I'm sorry....but Pop Music that I heard in the 1960's and 1970's is just way better than what kids hear today.
Pop Music of the 1930's-1940's-1950's was also way better than what kids hear today.
Anyway.......Joe Cocker.....one of many that we will start to loose as they are all turning 70 and older. Mick and Keith will be 80 in the near future.
