Haha! I am mostly kidding :-) But there is the occasional post where the bird seems to be the most appropriate response….

wishing you all the best Lou! :D
Thanks, man. I am doing well. I've lost 50 lbs and am continuing downward to my goal. I've got about another 85 lbs to go. My doctor has referred me to a nutritionist who specializes in diabetes patients, and I am looking forward to meeting with her. I've been experimenting with different foods, and using my blood-glucose meter to determine the effects of said food on my glucose level. I recently discovered rice has a detrimental effect. I imagine the nutritionist will be able to straighten me out about what I should not be eating.

Last time I was in to see the doc, he gave me a Mediterranean Diet hand out, with some great dietary guidelines for diabetes patients, which includes wine (yay!). Of course, it also includes rice……so……. :-)

hey Lou! great to hear from you, and CONGRATULATIONS on losing 50 lbs!! that is no mean feat!! i think you have reached the -3dB point and it will be much easier and will happen faster with the rest of the way :D

last semester i took a Nutrition class, with a very progressive teacher who was always open to new ideas, certain things work better for some people than others and i think consulting with a Nutritionist is a great idea. i learned really a lot and was really glad i took that class.

(internet high-five/fist-bump) you da man!! :D

Given the timing of the request, I think it was fairly obvious what it pertained to. The good thing is I now have permission to use the cbass emoticon. :D

Lou, glad you seeing positive results from your efforts. Here's to continued success.
