Can't access TAG!

Post by xtian »

I spent all day thinking TAG was down. Turns out I just can't reach it from my home network. All other web sites are working fine. (I'm using anonymouse.org to surf TAG just now.)

My traceroute:

Not much you can do about it yourself. It's a routing error within unifiedlayer.com (the last hop before trace route died). You can report it to your ISP and if they'll take the time to tweak their routing they might get lucky and happen to avoid that bad hop. Or time may fix it as network traffic load management processes change the routes for other reasons.

And you are not the the 1st with this problem with that domain.

You know what, a few years back I had a problem logging in on a known guitar forum of which I was a member in good standing.
I literally spent a couple months talking to administrators, website managers and Server companies.
Never did figure it out, but the signal would go out about 20 hops or so and die at a server.
So somehow my IP address was deemed hostile.

One guy I talked to, said my IP was blocked.
Had to go through a proxy to even log on.

Sometime later it just started working again. [/rant]

Don't let that smoke out!
