SPU Shooting, and the hero who prevented more deaths

Post by LeftyStrat »

Jon Meis:

He did this 14 days before his wedding.

The Internet has responded and their Crate and Barrel registry has been completely satisfied by strangers.

If anyone wants to contribute to this hero, the Target registry still has some items open:

It's awesome he's getting more press in Seattle than the killer.

Celebrate some good in this world. He'll make a great father. If he can risk his life for others, imagine the sacrifices he'll make for his kids.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Thats great that the local media is giving the hero his due. I wish the national media would follow. I really wish the media wouldn't show pictures and read this idiots message. The more they make these guys famous the more shootings will happen.
I honestly believe the media glamorizes these shooters so that more and more will happen and they can push more and more gun control on us.

There has been a couple of crazed gunman attempts stopped by good guys with a gun before they ever even got started.the national media has chose to ignore these events.

Somebody set up a gofundme for their honeymoon, with a goal of 5k. It's already been surpassed.

I do agree the media glamorizes this behavior, but most of the media have no agenda deeper than shock value to get you to watch so you will buy the Viagra and deodorant their advertisers are trying to sell.

The gofundme is over 25k. We need more press like this. Glamorize the hero, forget the killer. I truly believe this would cut down on these incidents. The killer was obsessed with Columbine, and even visited there.

More heroes stepping up and making sure they don't kill themselves but have to wallow in a prison for the rest of their lives is another deterrent.

It took a lot of courage for that young man to spray the shooter with pepper spray then take him down.

Usually these cowards are killed or commit suicide.

Hopefully they will learn important things from this mental case.

Don't let that smoke out!
