That's ok. When the robot invasion begins I am telling them you raped a blender.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

This is my favorite knob. One day I'm gonna use it on something.

I think if I had that one, it would just stay on the Vodka setting.

Nothing but originals will do in this case though.

Wow! Believe it or not, the price of these has come way, way down. I worked at an art college from 1992-2003 and I recall we paid quite a bit of money for a comparatively primitive 3-D printer in the early 2000's. The toner was pricey, too. But, shazam, it was something!NickC wrote:Get one of these and roll-your-own:

BTW, if it wasn't "theft" or what legal thing applies to logos, I'd be minting replacement "Gibson" badges for the old 60's amps. I've seen originals go for $50+ on eBait and I imagine a good new one would fetch $30-$40 each. Without flooding the market and causing the bottom to fall out, I imagine I could recoup the investment in one of those in less than 90 days.
Re: ID these knobs?
Yeah we are going to see a TON of that kind of activity in the near future. Once the file is created to send to that printer you can crank them out all day long. Being in that industry I can tell you that the legitimate uses for these is damn near limitless. It's :very: cool technology.

You KNOW somebody was going to start 3-D printing guns. Isn't that the first thing that happens with any new technology? "How can we make a weapon out of it?"
I'll have the crunchy frog please...

Re: ID these knobs?
Yep they are making weapons, and chocolate. Sounds like a great combination! I'll have to take some of the chocolate to eat while I'm testing the new gun I just "printed".
You know the powers that be are in quite a quandary over that (not the chocolate, excepting perhaps Mrs. Obama and her health initiative), and scrambling to try to find a way to regulate us and make it illegal. It's a highly disruptive tech because it will create all kinds of ways to get by, for example, metal detectors.
