Vai vs Zappa

Steve Vai verses Dweezil Zappa that is.

I thought this was great.

I didn't really know that Dweezil had such chops.

A genetically gifted student playing with his teacher.

Prefer DZ's playing - a little more taste over raw speed.

Havent' really had a proper listen to Da Weez but ... I'd pick Belew. Huge variety of tones beside technical ability.

When DZ has teachers like his father FZ and EVH he's going to have some chops.

I still think FZ was better by a long shot

I think I'd like Steve a lot more if his tone wasn't so terrible
