Love The Last Waltz. Buy the DVD if you don't have it. Neil Young's performance is my favorite version of Helpless. I thought the confused looks by Robbie during Muddy's turn were pretty funny.
My listening for today is consisting mostly of Steely Dan. One of my favorite groups of all time! First and second albums are must haves!

Though I owned "Can't Buy A Thrill" in my early teens (thank you, Columbia Record And Tape Club!), it wasn't until college that I REALLY discovered Steely Dan. "Aja" had just been released and I wore the thing out - I just couldn't get enough of that record, every track! I love Aja! I only recently really got into that one, but the title track is one of my favorite tunes of theirs. The DVD featuring that album is really good too. Becker is such a great player!

The solo from Reeling In The Years is still one of my favorites. Apparently it is also a fav of Jimmy Page. I still can't get over it was played through an Ampeg SVT.

In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.

Ditto on Aja! I wore that one out too. Just got a new copy.

Neil Young. I recently got "Live At Massey Hall", and for simple straight up acoustic performing, this is one of my all time favorites. Neil even plays piano. Great album.

I'll see your Camel and raise you a Caravan, In the Land of Grey & Pink. I was listening to this last night. New to me as I normally run away from things tagged prog but this isn't prog in my book, just good crazy British rock, wish I'd found it much sooner.

Ooooh Caravan. Haven't looked up that one in my ITunes in a while.
