Silvertone Knob

Post by ampdoc1 »

I'm looking for a missing knob on my Silvertone 1474. I need one identical to the attached picture, only with the gold top insert.

Anyone into STs?

I'm a Silvertone nut. Wish I could help you out, but mine are all spoken for. I stupidly just won a bid on a 1481 for not too much. My 1482 is one of my favorite amps of all time! Couldn't believe a cathodyne inverter could sound so good!

I have three knobs from a 1484 basketcase, inserts are gone! Two have rim damage, but you are welcome to them. Planning cosmetic "upgrade" when I re-build.

Check to see if there are any Ham radio swap meets or shows.

The most knobs I have ever seen were at one.

Those guys are huge pack rats! :D

I'll look through my pile of knobs. No promises, but I do have a metric crap-ton..

Thanks for the knobs Cobolt!! I think maybe I can get some gold foil and come pretty close to matching my other knobs.

I got s***loads of stuff in my shop. If I can return the favor, let me know.

Don't mean to hijack, but Ampdoc, if you would, please check if you have a vintage blackface knob you'd be willing to sell me. I need the one where the set screw aligns with the '10' and the '8' has the smaller top circle. Same goes for anyone else that might have one. :)

No problem at all! I am trying to down-size a bit....
Hope you can "work" it!
