Shops in the San Franciso area?

Post by Mark »

A friend of mine is going to SF on business and is hoping to pick up a neck for a four string cigar box guitar. He currently has the body and a few parts. As you'd imagine he doesn't want to pay a lot of money for the neck.

What shops do you recommend him to visit and what advice to you have for him on the construction of a four string cigar box guitar. My initial reaction was why?

He cites there is a bit of a movement around these guitars at the moment.

Thanks for your assistance.
Yours Sincerely

I don't think a store is what he wants. He should look at used stuff:

Is this going to be a fretted neck ?

Guy shows up occasionally at the weekly Blues Jam with a cigarbox, but he plays strictly slide on it.
The "neck" is broomstick.
