Exactly, sort of.
It's more a logic problem though.

you are right. portion control is the only way combined with what you eat. I have to lose 100 lbs. I have lost 20 so far and all I've done is cut out the snacks and lowered the amount of food on my plate. No more mikky d's or hoagies or pizza. It has been a tough struggle, but my knees can't take it anymore.briane wrote:thank you my friend - that is the truth - I just hate everyone telling me over 5 cheesburgers they have a hormone problem Aint no such thing. Show me someone overwieght who eats 10 grams of food a day....aint gonna happen.Many overweight people are addicted to food.
I respect honesty - and garner lies as a flawed character - thus those who lie have bigger problems than you - the first thing to do is face up to it.
The trick is schedule - you dont eat snacks - 3 meals a day smaller than the plate, and no cheating. meals only at precribed hours. I started with 1 plate, went to 1/2, and am now at 1/3 - thats about right. Lots of vegis and rice.
I sympathize - I have my own addictions.
I used to be fat - I know.

Best o' luck with that - really.mac0611 wrote:you are right. portion control is the only way combined with what you eat. I have to lose 100 lbs. I've a friend that was faced with double knee replacement surgery. When it starting getting close to surgery time, she instead chose to lose a considerable amount of mass and -voila! - doesn't need knee surgery any more (at least, at the moment).
Wishing you all the best to continue the path to health.

Thread = what?
Back to the fonts.
I have gained over 50 lbs since I last worked.
Always a skinny guy ( I like to say I'm lean)
I was around 185 lbs for years which for a 6'2'' guy that was not too bad.
Last doctor visit, 242 lbs!!!!
I have cut out all snacks like ice cream, crackers, sweets, high fat foods, etc.
I know, what is left?

Seriously. You know what's awesome? About a pound of ham and 8 strips of bacon. All salty and smacked on a sub roll with spicy mustard and another pound of ham. Add bacon. Yum. Drizzle furiously with cheese and bacon to taste.
Repeat
