My 2 fav song writers are Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan.

Ironically, I like both of them better sung by other artists.

Cool. I saw Bob around 2000 at memphis in may He was the last one to play everyone had left. there was like 50 people and he put on a hell of a show.I was about 15 feet from him.Played about an hour longer than scheduled. His voice was strong and the band was awesome. We even chatted some between songs.I was on a lot of LSD he made a funny comment about my crazy eyes

Out of willie nelsom,Black crowes,String cheese,Ike turner and a ton of other great bands Bob was by far the best.

Feel free to post examples.I love good songs.

Saw Leonard last weekend at the Palace in Louisville.
Bass player was out with the food poisoning, so the electric guitar guy was on bass all night, and darned good.

BTW, anyone who hasn't seen the Palace needs to take a tour or something - UNbelieveable decor - Spanish Baroque, they call it.

Such a small world. The guitarist Brad Rice and I used to hang out in Greenville, SC. Brad dated an ex of mine. Brad used to play in a band "Babylon" and when they split the lead singer got a factory job, so Brad started a band called "Homo Factory Workers" which featured a couch with a kid watching TV on stage, completely oblivious to the band's playing.

Brad might be the only person on the planet who could keep up with me in the LSD department. Him and I both should be dead or insane.

We often talked about whether or not this has already happened, and we're both just still hallucinating.

Same here. Talk about true poets and songwriters. Though there are some moments where I think Dylan has some fantastic moments as a singer. "Just Like a Woman" with Harrison and Leon Russell from the "Concert for Bangladesh" stands out.

And I'll take his vocal on Lay Lady Lay over Duran Duran's version.
