Not sure how many original member are still there. A couple of very fine guitar players.

Ok, well yes, a great band.

Really surprised! Let's set the scene.... a SMALL(about 300 seats)BYOB venue in New Hampshire! $30 seat.

NO OPENING BAND.

Bob Skeat missing! Had a very good bass player named Pete someone or other. His backline was an SVT with a 6/10(not 8, too short). Played what appeared to be an early 60s Fender Jazz bass.

Andy IS AWESOME! Played a SomeBrand signature V(with the sideways trem),and a heavily modded Strat(buckers bridge&neck),and custom trem.
Backline, TWO Fender Prosonics(????)

Muddy is up-tight! At least that's how he seems! Goldtop Les Paul(whole show). Backline was what appeared to be TWO Fender Twinluxes(???)

No look at pedalboards, were a few!!!!!!!

Tight,Toneful(even without the Marshalls), and even amazing in places!

....get a chance GO!

Saw them in Houston in the '71. Had to drive through the tail end of a tropical storm to get to the show. It was Excellent! They put on a great show. Afterwards, went outside and the storm had passed - all quiet. Seemed appropriate.

I was at the Wishbone Ash show last nite too at Tupelo Music Hall.
Awesome show. Fun to hear the harmony guitar parts again and see two guys just enjoying playing so much.

Gone were the Orange/Matamps of the first time I saw them in 1973 with Focus as the opening band. But still a nice sound all around.

See them if you can, well worth it.

For the guys who haven't heard of Wishbone Ash, check out these two gems:
Jailbait: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsdXh8eBcts
Lady Whiskey: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N-5OZik29j4

One the first bands to really employ the dual-lead guitar setup. Love these guys, the earlier the album the better IMHO.

Wishbone Ash came out and played the Argus album straight through.
Opening with Time Was kicked off the night great.
Nick, dynamite version of The King Will Come.
In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.
