Oh! And Houdini so maybe I can get out of having to do anything!
Merry Aftermath, St. Nick!

<full freaking rant mode>
I don't think any of the web vendors or schematic capture programs really come close to supporting the needs of the amp builder or effects builder.
Here's what we currently have:
- Insert symbol for input jack.
- Insert resistor symbol from a thousand choices for resistors.
- Insert triode symbol.
- Rotate the freaking resistor because it was inserted vertically.
- Connect input jack to resistor and resistor to triode.
Here's how it should work:
- Select from a choice of amps that are similar. Select output stages, phase inverter style, and number of preamp stages. Add or remove features such as Ampeg reverb, Fender reverb, etc.
- Oh wow, it calculated wattage for every resistor, based on projected current draw.
- Switch from a blackfaced Fender triode-tonestack-triode to a Bassman/Marshall/Vox tone stack.
- It has annotations from hundreds of builders about what sounds good.
- It builds a BOM suitable for Mouser, or others, with alternate suggestions for NOS parts.
- It shows tone stack curves.
</full freaking rant mode>
Someone, perhaps me, could write this. But I doubt you could get 1000 people to pay a $100 for it. Which is what it would at least cost to produce.
So you would have to give it away for free, and tack on a convenience cost. Most of us would save money on shipping if we could get everything from a single source. You'd have to get every vendor to drop ship and absorb the cost of shipping, and then tack on a charge to be profitable.
Probably won't happen, unless I score some peyote, buy an old airstream Bambi trailer, and take up residence in the deserts of California.
Just an idea.

Someone beat you to it! I'm actually doing a demo for Fujitsu right now about this project: Easy DesignSim. It's for power supplies for LED lighting systems, and other simple circuits:
http://fujitsu.transim.com/login.aspx?lang=en-US
You start with a basic circuit, and you can modify any of the components, choose new components from lists provided by connected vendors (Mouser, DigiKey, etc) and when you're done, you get a BOM and even a direct link to the vendor's shopping cart.
We need a version for tube amp builders!

I build and repair tube amps. http://amps.monkeymatic.com

Couldn't find the complete BOM I thought I saw so I spent a few moments with a 2204 schematic and whipped up a resistor BOM using the old fashioned, non "Terminator" approach.
I scabbed in Mouser P/Ns which can be cut/pasted into their search bar to see technical details and to start a "project" there if desired.
Had visions of doing the whole kit-n-kabodle in one sitting but I think that was the sticky green bud speaking to me at the moment. Haven't seen any peyote since the late 70's so I had to leave it with just resistors for now.

Hope that it helps a little bit!

Re: Mouser ordering pain in the rear
I was going to try it out but the second I saw mouser.com in my browser I started crying uncontrolably and then with the convultions like I had bad sushi two weeks ago.

My stomach hurts.
