so i didnt want to spend $100+ on a drill press. since i only really need it to drill holes for eylets. everything else i do with a regular power drill. i already had a dremel. so i decided to just use one of these
it works really well for what i needed. and not bad for $40

Could it be used for staking eyelets and turrets? I don't know if it's strong enough and if there's enough clearance under the base to fit a staking tool base like the one from turretboards.com

I've read that staking with a drill press is hard on the drill press.

That's why I use a Harbor Freight drill press, when it goes to shit I just buy a new one for $50.

i doubt it. i used eyelets. so a hard surface and a hammer worked perfectly.
