This is likely an issue with a false-positive, but each time I download a Visio diagram from the website, I get a antivirus pop up.
I eventually am able to pull up the file, after several of these messages. Thinking it was a false positive, I updated my A/V version from 4.7 to 5. I'm running ESET NOD32. I fell in love with ESET several years back with its light footprint. I've come to loathe all other A/V products as they've become bloated and boggy. It's the next best thing to running with no A/V installed.
I'm curious if anyone else with other A/V Windows-based products get a similar message when downloading (during open/save as dialog, click open)? I would like to submit this to ESET so they stop popping erroneous messages, but wanted to check in with others first to be sure?
Not trying to alarm anyone or create a stir. Just curious if this is specific to ESET.

Re: Strange issue downloading files on Ampgarage
No no problem for me and I use Visio quite a bit.
I have Visio 2003.
I use Avast A/V free and seems to work well.

Hmm... I'm digging through my quarantine and decided to restore the file. Here's what it contains. I'm wondering if these are remnants of a sql injection attack somewhere along the way??? It happens every time I open a non-image related attachment.
I put some spaces in the site name; I don't want anyone copy/pasting that URL in their browser.
Might be a PITA to find if it's embedded in the mysql database.

Looks like you may have some infected data.
Have you tried scanning with anything?
My brother was just telling me there is a nasty one going around right now, can't remember what it was called offhand.

Yeah, that was the quarantine file I restored from ampgarage. I don't believe my system is infected. Try this..Structo wrote:Looks like you may have some infected data.

It's a visio diagram from a TR CRS.
Click "Open". Save As does not yield the same result. See if your A/V pops up on you.
What browser are you using?
