I use a local shop called CopyKat for large prints otherwise I have a large format printer 11x13 and can go up one size larger only cost $189 so well worth it.

Look in your yellow pages for a print company, doesn't cost much.

Here's the plan...let your wife sign up for a graphics design course. Once she signs up she will immedaitely need a whole bunch of art supplies and also a HUGE 11x17 printer (so she doesn't have to print at the library, of course).

Then in 4 months when she decides she doesn't want to take graphic design courses you can use the printer for printing big amp layouts!!

Haha, we have the most insane printer. It's great having the real size layout on a huge piece of color cardstock!

Then they look cool on the wall when you're done building the amp. I use the art supplies too for cab detailing...haha

I got tired of not being able to have immediate access to large layouts and schematics so I went shopping and found the Epson Work Force 1100 printer signed up for the business account for reduced paper and ink cost.

I have been really enjoying that printer.

Why not save paper and plug the computer into the flat screen tv or get a large monitor at your work station? You can zoom in on pics and .PDF documents.
The closer you lean in the bigger it seems

As cool as it might seem when you need a picture printed out large from home. Unless you are running an industrial printer The cost of ink to picture ratio is more then having them professionally printed.

If you need to print out more then $200 a month obtain a personal printer.

At one time I bought a plotter thinking I would use all these blown up schematics.. the newness wore off a month later when I found out the cost of paper and ink. I traded it with an engineering firm for barter.

IMHO let the problem of keeping the machine operational someone elses problem. Printers never go up in value or hold value for more then a few months. If you really need to own contact the company about renting.

Every HP printer I have owned has a poster printing option.
Go into the settings options to find it.

When I build a new amp I print out a layout on four pieces of paper, trim them up then tape them together for a 31" x 17" layout.

Mikey I kill trees I guess because I have a large stack of 11x13 prints I have made at my basement bench and refer to my schematics and layouts.
I was using my laptop as well and will set all that up again soon.
