Fathom Music

Post by Structo »

Here is a great website.
You type in your favorite artist then it generates albums by that musician and others that are in the same vein of music.

You can put the albums you want to hear in a queue.

"Out of bandwidth" message popped up at the moment. Sounds like an interesting concept. I'll check it late one night on the weekend.

Strange, it was working fine for me.

I saw this at The Gear Page so the server is probably getting hammered.

Also I believe this is in the beta stage but it's a neat concept and if you happen to use a computer hooked up to an audio amp this would provide a nice selection for a juke box type system.

I'm currently listening to Tiger Walk by Robben Ford.

Wow Tom, that is a real find. I searched Quicksilver Messenger Service and got the usual suspects but the longer I played with it the weirder it got. Lots of fun! Thanks

This has been a lot of fun for me and my wife, really starting to open up artists I hadn't heard about. Thanks!

great treasure chest of albums. Cool!
Too bad some of the songs are 30 second demo.

Thanks Tom - very cool - lots of the obscure music from my younger years.

Yeah a lot of the albums are incomplete.

They are grabbed from some data base, not sure how it works.

I searched for the Doors and a "best of" album popped up that had over an hour of music on it, some live cuts as well.

If you're just bored or web browsing, it's a nice thing to have playing in the background.
