Sounds like the music I grew up with, 1960's rock.

Thanks for that. They have been mentioned in TapeOp recently. I believe they interviewed an engineer involved in thier recordings. I keep forgetting to You-Tube these guys to see what they sound like.

I heard a great song on XM radio by The Red Button (Geneve) that was very Brian Wilson influenced. I looked them up on Amazon and listened to the sample clips from their second album and was thrown back in time. In one song I heard moments that reminded me of Beatles, Grassroots,Boyce and Hart,Byrds,Zombies,Chad and Jeremy,Turtles, ect. There first album is more Brit pop. All of their tunes are delightful.

Where have you guys been? The Americana bunch thinks Jeff Tweedy is God.

Music that isn't overdone. It's nice, huh?
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

I have a short commute, therefore no XM radio. My tolerance for synchro-mercials is almost zero. When clear channel gets around to playing music, thier playlist is shorter than what will fit in my iPod shuffle, so I guess I am living in a self-imposed bubble.

rant over.

XM? Commute? Wilco is pre-internet even!

And I never heard a note until last year. Umm..

I like Sky Blue Sky.

You should listen to the early stuff. They were skateboard music at the time. How uncool is that? Matthew Sweet cover.. err.. rip o.. cover band, but too young to shave.

Jeff Tweedy has some really really good solo acoustic stuff out now. I'm not a big Wilco fan (I don't dislike them but don't listen to them) but Jeff Tweedy can write a helluva song.
