Shit man, I'd love to get back all of my guns and the ES-335 that was stolen from my house but I'm sure I'll never see any of them again. Good luck to the guy, he got hit worse than I did and I was out $8k-10k worth of stuff..

That completely sucks!
I hope he in the very least has insurance.

I had my favorite bass jacked when I was in high school it's a shitty feeling. I hope he gets his back. Mine was destroyed after they couldn't pawn it.
It takes a long time to remove studio rack gear. I'm surprised he doesn't have them on video doing it.

Every studio needs 2 things. first a jackelope ;) Second an alarm with video survalience... Make friends with the cops so they are quick to arrive if you need them.

Sometimes something good happens at the end of a story like this.

My version involved a Yamaha T50 head. It turned up at an annual neighborhood garage sale on the East side if Indy (Woodruff Place) priced at $75 and tagged as needing a tube. Got it and a fuuugly double-TL806 2x12 for $60.

By some odd path, word got to me that a contact of a contact had lost a T50 to a thief in Cincy a few years previous. Emails and photos exchanged. Satisfied I had a stolen amp in hand and knew the proper owner, proper owner suggested I hang on to it for a while, but give him notice before selling or otherwise disposing of it.

18 months later, word reaches me that owner is in town for cancer surgery (6 weeks before his wife is due to bear their first baby). Since I've snagged another amp in that time, and he's going to be stuck at home recovering for a while, I arrange to deliver his amp to him at the hospital - made his day, and mine - and I've since heard what a good time he's been having with his old friend.

I do hope this Canuck's treasures come back to him more quickly - and in good order.

I live 30 miles from this guy. I'll keep a good lookout. Dirtbag thieves like this should do big time without parole.

Unfortunately the justice system in Canada is run by a bunch of socialist PC bleeding heart sociologist assholes that make their living off sucking up to the criminals and don't give a fuck about the victims of crime, so that is not likely to happen in the short term.

In the long term I hope we lock them up along with their scumbag pals. Our new government just might do that, but it will take a while.

This report is going viral. One of my friends posted it on Facebook yesterday down here in Texas.

I hope that all parties involved get exactly what they deserve.

Man I hate thieves.

Most are meth addicts these days and will get pennies on the dollar for their ill gotten goods.

I hope they find their stuff, what a loss!

Oh I dunno, just listening to Black Sabbath, I feel for all the points made above. I had gear stolen, my only guitar and all pedals, not much fun.

That's horrible.

I've been ripped off too. It's a sickening feeling you never get completely over.

I hope he gets his property back intact.

A friend plays cello with the Shreveport Symphony. Several years ago her cello was ripped off from backstage. The local media seized upon the story, as well as law enforcement. She ended up getting it back intact. It was over 100 years old and irreplaceable.

We had a band of idiots going around tearing out copper electrical runs from homes and businesses to get pennies on the dollar at salvage value. Their big hit was doing $100,000 worth of damage to a golf club, hooking up a large pickup to the power lines (after cutting them) and then tearing all the wiring out of the building by driving off. Jerks got themselves caught within a day of that hit. Too bad they weren't just shot instead of burdening the justice system. It's always a bonus when Texas Karma catches up with a would-be thief in the form of a fatal gunshot wound.

Hope your friend gets some closure Reeltarded.

Sorry to hear about that. I've had this happen to me once before, except the fact that the thief took off with a strat that I was refurbishing, but not my '94 Pink Paisley Telecaster :? ...

About 2 weeks later I woke and it was sitting on my doorstep ...
