Reporting SPAM!

Post by unklmickey »

i don't know if i've been using the correct proceedure, but i've been sending Omar a PM with the link for threads initiated by spamers.

right now this seems to be the logical way.

i speculate it may be a bit of a P.I.T.A. to change the format of the board to include a one-button "report" feature that some other boards have. so i won't bother suggesting it.

i wonder if i should be leaving a reply on the thread that simply says:

spam reported.

that would save other from duplicating the effort. and save Omar from redundant PMs.

for now, i think i'll do just that, and suggest that others do the same, until Omar recommends a preferred method.

thanks,

unk

Great idea I'll do same. These spammers are infuriating to say the least!

Sending me a PM is the best thing to do. Putting Spam Reported is a great idea as well so I don't get multiple PM's for the same spam.

There was a reply in one of the deleted spam threads that suggested using email verification. We have been using email verification and the spammers have found a way around it.
