Managed to land a pair of 1964 pre t-top patent number Gibson humbuckers for next to nothing!
Covers removed and one has very short lead.
Everything else is spot on no rewind etc.
How much are these worth?

Not nearly as much as the Patent Applied For pickups, which is silly, since they are the same pickups.
I've got one in my case WITH the cover and a decent lead for $350. Which doesn't mean you'll get that, but I can sit on it for a while, and someone will come along who really needs it.

What's the consensus on the t-tops? I've only played one guitar that had them, that I know of. I did not enjoy them.

IMHO they are a great piece of history but as far as pickups they have low output, the balance in subjective to picking the right one from the batch or getting lucky, they are rather noisey in comparasion to current production. But for a period correct guitar it's a nice compliment assuming you are paying for the vintage charm.vibratoking wrote:What's the consensus on the t-tops?
