Live with it.
- or -
strip it off and tolex it in a color you like.
ink's, dye, panit.... all can or do .. rub off on things.
usually on things you don't want it to.

or they come off and show the original color under.
faid...

you get the point.
do it right or don't bother.

Selloutrr is correct. Retolexing isn't difficult, just tedious, but it will give the best results. If you go that route, make sure you do a good job on surface preparation, because any little bump of old glue will show through and make a bump in your new tolex.

Also, use real tolex. I used to use Marine Vinyl from Frabricland because it felt so cool and I could buy it in person, but because of its thickness it can ding/scrape real easy. Not good. I still do like the feel of those amps, but I have to be sooo careful.

Real suede or leather is probably tough enough too if you want to go that way, but real tolex is what is used for a reason.

I know most of you don't try to break the rules like I did, butI figure I'd share my stupidity.

thanxx for all the advice much appreciated, this is an ODS style head cab so lots of cornering and I'm not patient enough to do the tolex so I am now debating leaving it alone or striping it and using bed liner on it.

Be careful with clearance if you put anything new on the box, I don't know about how thick the liner is

You can also take it to a local automotive upholstery shop.
it should cost about $50 in labor. Plus the material.
