Mad scientist waking-moment brain fart led to this.
Rather than clipping wild leads everywhere and capping things off...etc.
This is a safety oriented rig that is both a general purpose light bulb limiter and has plenty
of room to hook up the leads safely inside screw-in terminals.
The block was salvaged from a CNC machine that got scrapped.
There is a 6.3V pilot light, fuse holder, and IEC jack on the romex outlet box.
Plenty of room for expansion for other functions, like a breadboard for amp
designs, or power tube matcher, output transformer tester...etc.
The transformer tested good.

Very cool indeed!
Re: Power Transformer Testing Rig
Thanks!
That double sided screw in terminal block gives all kinds of options, the ultimate "breadboard".
And I have a lot more.
Muhahahaha...

I installed fresh filter caps on what was a perfectly functioning Con 56666 organ, but it was still running on the original canisters.Cygnus X1 wrote:I didn't expect it, but it saved my a** today.

When I plugged it into the test rig the light was shining
full on.Checked and I had a whisker of wire running from B+1 brushing the chassis.
That could have been real bad!
