First time I saw him live I remember thinking "wow a real musician"

My dad sent me an email this morning. It's kinda weird, I've been listening to a lot more Beefheart lately. I'm started working up a cover of "Crazy Little Thing" a few nights ago too.. I was brought up on Beefheart. Very sad news.. RIP :(.

That is too bad. I didn't know he gave it up in '82.
