vibratoking - Ha! That is a good Cesar story, thank you for sharing that. I believe you, much as I wish it wasn't true.

FWIW, before he passed, I connected with him via email and phone. I, just like you, had a great deal of respect for what he was apparently doing with SRV's amps -and I loved Stevie's playing of course! (Hell, if I had a SR at the time I might have sent it off to him, too!! Well, I didn't own one at the time so maybe I got lucky.) But back to the emails and phone calls...

Do you remember that Stevie had a tweed Bassman there at the end? He used it for a fair amount of the tracks on In Step, for example. Well, I had read that it was a gift from Cesar somewhere, and I brought this up to Cesar, saying that that was nice of Cesar, (to give the amp to SRV), and then asking about any alterations that had been made, if any, to the amp. Well, here I got an earful. Cesar told me that it was NEVER GIVEN TO SRV!!, but was ONLY ON LOAN!! And then he went on to say (VERY ANGRY) that he tried to get it back after Stevie passed, but Jimmy would not give it to him. Jimmy told Cesar that it was in the custody of 'the Estate' and it could not be touched. Eh, if you talked with Cesar, and it sounds like you did, you might have caught a cuss word or two? Well, as I understand it from Cesar, he let Jimmy have it with both barrels and then some. He called Jimmy every name in the book, I am very sure. But he never did get that Bassman back. And then a year ot two later Cesar was gone himself.

Anyway, vibratoking, it wasn't right what Cesar did to you. I am surprised he behaved that way because - obviously - he had at least one reason to behave differently. Take care.

Rooster - I appreciate your comments and I didn't mean to pull the rug out from under you by deleting my post. I deleted it before I saw your response. After I thought about, I decided I didn't feel comfortable airing the dirty laundry. I was not happy with Cesar because of his shady dealings. I probably should have left it at that. Yes, Cesar had quite the mouth, but so do I at times.

OK,I got the pics,This amp was built by Ceasare,Dual output trannies,I believe you just have to do something with the resisters on the power tubes other than that they are wired in the same as a single. The amp is LOUD!!!!!!
Kinda that creamy Marshall meets Fender sound.Could not get any gutshots,Sorry,He prefers the big bottle I believe 6550"s 6L6"s Electro Harmonix,Its a cool amp,I know he has 2 or 3 ,Thanx Mikey

Here are some CD-30 gut shots if anyone is interested. Probably similar/same internally.

The CD-30 seems to be, pretty much, silverface twin reverb topology that uses a bandmaster output transformer.
Yes, 4 6L6's into a small single bandmaster/pro reverb style OT.

I imagine that amp would have the OT saturation thing going on in spades.
