I have two 1265 warehouse speakers, one is in an enclosed 1x12 cab the other is in a 4x12 cab. The on that is in the 4x12 is set up os that only two speakers are driving to each of the jacks in an x pattern. The 1265 is coupled to another 16 ohm celestion 80.
The 1265 in the 1x12 is making a very hi pitch squeal when connected to my Rocket at levels above 12 o'clock on the volume. When i switch to the 4x12 cab ( just the 2x12 side ) the squeal is not present??
Is the 1x12 cab inducing the squeal ??
Both 1265 speakers were bought at the same time and the one that is squealing was in my Dlite for a while with no problems.

Re: warehouse 1265 squeal
Is the head sitting right on the 1x12 cabinet? If so, try moving it away a bit. Sometimes the speaker cables radiate enough HF power to cause an oscillation back into the preamp stages.
Also, do you have a closing plate on the chassis?
Good luck,

Head is away from the cab, speaker cables are dressed away, yes I have a closing plate on the chassis, I think.... if you mean some chicken wire under the chassis between the cab and the bottom of the chassis.markr14850 wrote:Is the head sitting right on the 1x12 cabinet?
