SVT CT
Any body know where to get a scheme online? The ampeg service site doesn't post them. You have to call and request a hard copy.

Re: SVT CT
Sadly no, its the new reissue SVT classic, 300w single channel its the all
tube one. They've got an external bias adjust with LED indicators. I've
found a manual but the service info on the unit is scarce. I'd like to find and
use test points to verify that the unit is set correctly.

Andy,
Check out this thread for some schematic links.
This one still works: http://www.esnips.com/doc/11768640-0972 ... 50cc7e/svt
Hope they're what you're looking for.

Re: SVT CT
Thank you........ got to know where to look every now and again.
The bias system in these has been replaced by a SS current sensor and LED
indicator, with the warning not to attempt any service other than that
described in the operation manual. I can understand, but when the unit
goes tits up, the only things left, of usable parts not attached to a pcb looks
like the chassis and tranny's, WTF. Good for tube nerds, can't wait for
these to start showing up blown at the pawn shop.
There's no way, looking at the scheme to get a current measurement at the
cathode without disturbing the SS sensor, it looks like you have to measure
across the OPT to verify operating condition.
Anybody have specific service experience with these?
Thank you all again for the links...

Re: SVT CT
Have you tried emailing them?
I've got an SVP-CL preamp that I bought in from the States and wanted to reconfigure for 240V so I just emailed them and told them I had one in for service and they mailed over a complete set of PDFs with schematics, layouts, picking lists and everything.
Worth a shot.

That's looking like best way to go, Monday. I get lulled into fender land,
many of these newer pieces are engineered with other intents.
