DC30 gutshots?
I've found a few links in here, but none of them helps me find any gutshots of a real DC30.
Can anyone help?
Regards.

Re: DC30 gutshots?
I did a Google search and found these in a Japanese blog. I don't know if it's the real deal or someone's clone.
Now that's what I call a point to point build

I must be missing something - what's with all the internally mounted light bulbs? Are some of those resistors scared of the dark?Normster wrote:http://spinoo.free.fr/projetG5/Images%2 ... s/DC30.jpg

Actually, the light bulbs in the chassis light up the labels on the faceplate (Volume, Treble, Bass, Cut, Master, etc.) There is a separate light box behind the Matchless logo that requires a 6.3V connection.Tubetastic wrote:They light up the front Name Plate - Matchless.

Absolutely- the first one has way too many film resistors. No mojo in those. No mojo at all, I'm afraid.

Right on...looks like a Ceriatone. Still a nice amp but not an original Matchless.dehughes wrote:Clone.Blindog wrote:I did a Google search and found these in a Japanese blog. I don't know if it's the real deal or someone's clone.

Re: DC30 gutshots?
Looks like the server backup killed a couple of posts in this thread.
If I remember correctly, someone asked about the 120V outlet on the back of the C-30. Then, I posted this first pic. Then MFowler asked if we were sure that these outlets are part of the genuine article and I posted the link to the C-30 manual on the Matchless website which states:
POWER: OFF/ON
This switch supplies power from the A.C. mains and is used to turn the amplifier off and on as well as the switched A.C. outlet at the rear of the amplifier.
http://www.matchlessamplifiers.com/manu ... _c30.shtml
There was also someone who asked if I still had the pictures that I was collecting of C-30 amps. (I do.) Finally, another member posted that they have thousands of amp photos collected and that they could be contacted with requests. Of course, I don't remember who that was so hopefully they'll chime in again.
There you have it. I think that brings this thread back up to date as best as I can.
