anyone built a "climax" clone?
was wondering how the "texas tea" control sounds and what would happen if one would add that to a standard express circuit....more gain?....a bit of a tweed tone?
anything worth doing, is worth doing right
Re: anyone built a "climax" clone?
The Texas Tea is a tone stack bypass with a 10n cap and a 3MA pot wired as a variable resistor. Kendrick uses it on the "clean" channel, which is supposed to be Fenderish, not the Express/Marshall-style "lead" channel.

ya I understand kendrick uses it on the "clean" channel. I'm building a single channel and thought the texas tea could add a little tweed to the express circuit. Guess there is only one way to find out!
