Neato! I may give that a try. Looks like easier setup and much more precise measurement of final dimensions of box.

I am terrible with box joints and especially dovetailing even though I have jigs. My patience level with that stuff is null.
Just build your own like Norm Abraham, New Yankee Workshop.

Here is another way to do it.
He doesn't make as complex of a jig on this one.

Yeah thats the way Norm does it and I built one as well. I think the other one would be more stable as well as more features.

Box joint
Luckily my local wood shop has a nifty multi-blade saw for cutting box joints. I just take them my wood and let them muck with it.

Box Joint
They charge me around $20 per cab. Includes cutting boards to length as well. the first time I used them it took over a month as the machine was set up for 1/2 in and they hadn't used it much. Now it is a couple days for perfect no hassle box joints.
Re: Box joint jig plans
I have to check with some of the local wood shops. I'd easily pay that.

Have you checked out the rest of this guy's site? He's got it bad for sure. One could entitle the website "Doing it the Hard Way" and have been pretty close to the truth. I have a feeling he would fit in well with this bunch if we could get him to work with electrons that weren't made out of wood.

I think that's what they were mentioning earlier.

Now that is the machine I need already set up just slide my board in there, clamp down, and turn the machine on. I think I will call around to see if I can get a local source for box joints or half blind dove tails since I hate doing both.
