Some of my odd pedals

Post by M Fowler »

Anyone know anything about my Super Fuzz pedal?

The Gretsch Playboy wah wah I know about but wondered if you guys have seen many of these.

Sold my color sound wah and Clyde McCoy wah to Kenney Rardin many years ago for $100, wish I had them back now.

Is it a Univox Super Fuzz?

Does it do the octave fuzz thing?

Looks like one that's from around the early 70's

I have no idea, the only thing on the bottom of this pedal is Japan stamped in the aluminum. Nothing inside the pedal tells me anything regarding manufacturer.

The faceplate has balance knob, tone slider switch, and expoander knob.

In and out jacks are on the left side looking from the top.

Isnt that Unicord Super Fuzz the pedal Pete Townshend used on Live at Leeds? I think thats the one. Great, classic thick fuzz.

I'll see if I can talk Kenny into buying it from you for $50.

The link provided from above http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Univox_Super-Fuzz noted that the various artist using the pedal on what recording and Pete Townshend was listed.

And about the Gretsch Playboy wah; early '70s Italian Jen, same as Sound City and many others with the white trim on the bottom plate and Fasel inductor.

And I have in excellant condition the black carrying case with white trim and handle, wow!

The pedal is noisey but I am not going to doing anything with it right now, maybe find out what is worth $350 or so and sell it.
