Hey all,
Question. Has anyone ever dampened the connection between the PT and OT from the chassis of their amps?
My TW clone combo has enough vibration that I can get it to go into feedback if I play around with the controls enough.
I was thinking of some industrial silicone/rubber mounts that hold the transformer firmly yet keep vibration from moving into the chassis. I will still keep it electrically grounded though.
Thanks in advance.
Peace

Re: Transformer Vibration Isolation
I think I would want to find out which one is the primary vibrator and why is it vibrating? If the other one is vibrating in sympathy then that's a double whammy.
I think you have a problem that needs fixing all right, but not by isolating the txfmrs.

Re: Transformer Vibration Isolation
David,
The transformers are not huming any more than other amps I have/had.
My old ampegs probably had more hum. But the note of the transformer seems to be in sympathy with the amp.
