Name this valve?

Post by Mark »

Hi

This valve appears to be a pentode and a triode in the same envelope. I thought it might have been a 6BM8 which were a common and popular valve. Though it doesn’t look to be the case from the pictures online.

Any thoughts as to what it might be?

As always thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

It occurred to me after I posted this message that I could take a picture and let Google work it out.

It’s a 6GW8.

A European ECL86 if a recall right.
