Speaker Line Out Isolation Transformer question:
Does anybody know what Type/Spec ‘Isolation Transformer’ Suhr or Bradshaw uses for their Speaker Line Out Boxes? Correct resistances?
Want to attempt to make one.
I see these resistance specs options but don’t know what is needed:
— 600:600
— 10k:10k
— 10k:600 ?
— Xicon, Jenson, Edcor ?
Anybody have any ideas or knowledge on this?
Thanks for any help

Re: Speaker Line Out Isolation Transformer question
I don't know what transformer those brands are using, but you can get the data sheet and application notes for Jensen JT-11-FL. Schematics and specs are there.
Re: Speaker Line Out Isolation Transformer question
also don't know theirs, I use a 600:600 type with pleasing results (https://www.monacor.com/products/pa-tec ... n/ltr-110/). Cheap and working.
Don't know if these are available where you live, in case yes, this one is unshielded and needs a placement where no or little stray fields exist. I made a PCB for easy mounting
there are other manufacturers like Neutrik (international), Lundahl (Sweden), Hammond (international), Sowter (UK)
to my knowledge the Xicon are very small signal transformers which can't handle the voltage of a Line-Out
a mu metal shield is supposed to be beneficial but makes them expensive. I got away so far with an unshielded one
in any case you need an attenuation circuit before it
