NFB design for high gain ECC99 PP amp

Post by Henkiepenkie1234 »

Hello fellow enthousiasts,

https://www.tube-town.net/cms/userfiles ... as2021.pdf

I am building the above amp as a starting point for a modded semi high gain ish compact beast.

as standard I find the amp a bit too untight, I would like to implement NFB, wich would probably be best done in the preamp stage before the tonestack.
However I just cant seem to wrap my hand about suitable NFB ratio's for this type of design

It's ECC99 push pull with a hammond 125c.

I wouldnt like to overdo it with the NFB but a moderate ammount to tighten things up a bit would be nice.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Jesse

There are small voltages involved, so just use a 100K pot, dial to taste, and either replace with fixed resistor(s) or just leave the pot in place!
