Interesting Reference - NASA Workmanship Standards

Found this link on Huge Racks forum. Does anyone know if this is the same as miltary spec guidelines?

I work at a Nuclear Power Plant, and back in the 80's we had a soldering course that was based on NASA standards, some of the pics in the link you posted looked familiar. From what I remember back then, NASA soldering standards exceeded any military training that I had in the Navy.

NASA Space standards are pretty dang rigorous. Read: very expensive.

"Mil spec" doesn't necessarily mean absolutely top shelf components or procedures. It does in a number of instances, but it really depends on the intended use. Mil-spec can be as benign as specifying what color a rack unit should be (in the navy, gray).
