Source for JCM 800 style chassis

Post by sabredude »

I'm looking for Marshall JCM 800 style chassis with faceplates. I need the 100w version with the "square" power and standby switch but I can't seem to locate them. I can find the 50w version but not the 100w.

I'm working on a custom build where a customer wants 2 each 100w and 2 each 50w but they need to look like the early 80's JCM's - not building clones so please don't flame me :)

I don't want Marshall markings (JCM800 and Jim Marshall's signature) but should otherwise look the same or similar.

Mojo and Tubedepot don't do 100w in that style and Triode tries to sell you JMP faceplates as JCM's...

Anybody have suggestions?

I suggest you get a Valve Storm chassis and custom plates. http://valvestorm.com/Products/MetroAmp

Turretboards.com make 50w chassis and faceplates
but not 100w.

Another idea is contact Mike at http://modulusamplification.com/AMPLIFI ... ?sid=12886 he was very reasonable for custom faceplates and chassis to my design.

Watts sells the wide JCM style chassis, but it's set up for 50W. Since it's a stand-up transformer, I expect you can simply punch for two more tubes and drill new transformer holes if needed.

As for faceplates, don't know of a source.
