passive low cut/hi pass filter in guitar
not amp related, but you guys know your stuff... wondering if this is possible. pickups are too dark, but have a very high output. is there anyway to cut say, 180hz and below with a few caps?
Re: passive low cut/hi pass filter in guitar
Yes. with one cap. Just need to determine the value.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.

One cap in series. Experiment to find the corner frequency. It's dependent on variables such as your control values and pickup impedance. Or an active circuit that will give you more than 6 db.
