Tube tester question

Whats a good tube tester that I can purchase without breaking the bank? What kind of money am I looking at spending?

You can go to www.tone-lizard.com/Tube_Testers for a good introduction to the various vintage types and what they generally need to put them in top shape, then look on E-Bay, or you can bite the bullet and go modern digital at www.vacuumtube.com, $999.00. I got mine a few years ago for less than $800. This is preamp tubes only, there is a powertube only design also from a different source, about $500, both digital.

Or you could build one yourself, Steve Bench's website has some stuff on it.
