need help naming my amp

Post by arjepsen »

I built a sort of blackface princeton amp, and now I try to come up with a name for it.
The problem is, that I want to make a wooden front, with the name cut out, so that you can see the tubes in behind (built it as a head).
It's not a very wide amp - physicly, so it can't be too long.
I searched around the net and thougth about names like princetone, prinzetone, prinzt'n, blackface, but I keep running into the problem of the name being too long. Also I'd prefer not to use a "."

Any suggestions?

Regards
anders

Elwood

Then if you build a Deluxe -- Moe Wood

Then a Twin Reverb -- Sporting Wood

Then a 100 watt Marshall -- Max Wood

If you build a 1 watt practice amp -- Sliver

Well if you don't mind the British connotations, I think Black Prince would be a great name. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward,_the_Black_Prince

It's been a long running matter of confusion - in England "Princetown" is the location of an (in)famous prison (Dartmoor), for serious bad guys along the lines of Leavenworth in the USA. Dartmoor and Princetown are understood to mean the same thing - in the pokey, for the long run. British folks who aren't familiar with the NJ institute of higher learning sometimes are taken aback by proud Americans who announce "I went to Princeton" or "just sent my son to Princeton." Another example of two nations separated by a common language. ;)

Black Prince - a new one on me. I'd be enlightened and amused to know what that is in UK lingo. Tanks in advance!
