how much capacitance is needed for dc filaments. Is a 1000uf enough, thanks

ya, figured that...thanks for the reply. Having a hard time finding a 10,000uf cap from the places I'm all ready ordering from.

You can use less uF with a regulator eg LT 317A. I use 4700 in front and 470 after, in 12.6 VDC. For 10,000 uF try www.percyaudio.com, he has Nichicons which are good caps. He also has the LT317A, but so does Mouser.

apexjr has some 12000uf nich caps that work great. think he is charging a buck each?
