Can anybody help me identify this tube? Claritone used a lot of Mullards
but this one does not have a ridge on top and doesn't have a mullard code. There is a 21 on the underside as well as the markings shown.
The code is 2-39 on top and MXMA below.

is that a "canada" on the side? Did they make mullards in canada?

Looks American to me. A rebranded GE or RCA perhaps?
Or is it a Marconi tube that was made in Canada? I know they did radios before, during WW2 and after for a while..

The "12AT7" etching looks very GE to me. RCA would probably be etched in a plain no serif font inside a stop sign. Also, the date code looks very GE-like. Are there the tell tale mysterious GE dots etched into the glass somewhere? If you don't know what I mean, here's a picture of the dots, middle tube. Stop sign example on the left - not what I see for your tube.

Thanks for the input. No dots, but I think it is probably a GE. Found it at a junk store in a drawer and picked it up for 10 bucks.
