Singing RJ's praise

Post by sliberty »

I just received a set of transformers from RJ. I exchanged a few emails with him about what I wanted to do, and then we spoke on the phone to finalize things. I need an OT and PT for a project, and was having trouble finding what I needed due to the fact that I am building in a small-ish combo cabinet and space was an issue. He had a set of Edcors that should fit the bill nicely and so I placed an order.

RJ is not only really knowledgeable about these transformers, but he is also reallty helpful and was able to suggest just the right parts for my application. The transformers were packed really nicely, and arrived quickly (I was lucky they were in stock). Great customer service, and great guy to deal with.

I generally like buying parts from members of the forum. We all should do so when feasible. I've gotten small parts and chassis' from Allyn, cabinets from Anthony, trannies from Moose and now RJ, and more. We should all supporty our forum members - it makes the community richer.

Thanks RJ. Much appreciated.

Once the amp starts taking shape, I'll post some photos and give my impressions. Gee, now the pressure is on - I hope it turns out well, or I'll be embarressed :D

Yes, RJ rules and is a New Mexican, so I liked him before we even spoke. Wouldn't get Wreck iron anywhere else!

I got my a lot of my Express parts last year and almost all of my Liverpool parts this year from RJ. Next year when I build a Rocket, I'll definitely be hitting him up.

Beyond anything else, RJ is just a great guy. Parts are cool but he conducts himself with class, is always willing to help and encourage, and never fails to impress.

+1 to all.

Bought a chassis and Rocket transformers from him for my quad EL84 build coming up. Service was awesome, and he even included a fuse holder and IEC socket :)

Agree... I bought the Eagle Premium kit and RJ was very helpful in securing a faceplate that I needed. I'll be finishing up the amp this weekend and it's been a very smooth build so far. I took the Premium build and added the T/B pots to the circuit.

I like it when he brings pastries to share with my coffee. 8)

Yepper, all 'round great guy - sees the positive in most every situation and I treasure that.
