Put a beam blocker or duck tape across the grill to reduce the high end.

Tone Tubby are pretty dark.

sellect a darker pickup on the guitar? Roll down the treble

The ET65 from Warehouse Guitar speakers has quite a smooth tone, and I've found it to tame the highs well where needed. It's based on the Celestion G12-65, but I'm not sure if the Celestion is as effective, and it is definitely not as economical.
