I am starting a new project to build a grab and go amp in a 1x12 combo. Truth be told, I have not yet decided what circuit to build - this amp will take some time to develop due to the fact that I have a bunch of other things I want to finish first. I may even build more than one chassis for it (a Rocket and an 18 Watt Marshall for example), so I can have choices of tone without the expense of two cabs and two speakers. But I was able to get myslef a great cabinet for the project from one of our fellow forum members. See the photos. It is essentially a Blues Junior cab made of Canarywood, and as you can see, its a real beauty. But aside from the cab being really cool, Greg (CHIP) sold it to me for a great price. As he himself said, he was giving something back to the community.
Thanks Greg for the wonderful cabinet and your great support, and thanks Allyn and Omar for providing this great place where nice people can help each other with their passion for amps.

Canary wood is pretty and durable as hell to boot.
It looks great and from a distance, looks like a Tweed.

For something like that I'd be tempted fit an amp with a simple circuit that takes pedals well. (then you can chuck your prefered pedals in the back of the cab and go). Any of the tweed deluxes or early tweed bassmans or supro tbolt maybe. The 5G9 tweed tremolux takes pedals exceptionally well, and has nice trem.

That is a really pretty cab. I wish I could still do woodworking! (Paraplegic).
